His father deserted him when he was very young, and he was one amongst a family of six children. His mother worked as a housemaid to support the family. He graduated from Mumbai University with 77%, and ranked first in one of the subjects. He completed his MBA and is now working as an assistant manager in IDBI, Mumbai. His education was sponsored by VYF throughout, and now he donates Rs1000/- every month to VYF so that other children like him can get an opportunity to be educated.
